Ben was born to Mr. Joseph Nwokeafo Aghazu and his sixth wife, Udu, on February 13, 1946, in Akaboezem Village, Uruagu Nnewi, in the early hours of the morning.

Ben was married to Chief (Mrs) Chinemerem Mercy Aghazu, an Animal Care Specialist since 1970.

Three Sons:

Chizoba (late), Obiora, Ugochukwu.
