Onwu enwero enyi! It takes as it pleases, without consideration at all! "Kpakpando Nnewi" was my best friend's father and idol (Akuchukwu). I had the honor of meeting him about twenty years ago in Maryland, and a few years ago in Dallas, Texas, with Aku's mom. He was gentle. He was humble. His sense of humor was refreshing. His smile was as striking as Aku's. He did more than exist. Kpakpando lived. He loved. He gave. He shared. He was loved. And he lived again. Aku spoke so highly of him, not only because he was her father, but because he was clearly an a phenomenal man and father. Death took his body, but heaven gained, and God now has his beautiful soul. Je nke oma, papa anyi.

My Dearest Friend Forever………. Ben Aghazu
There is a wonderful comfort in having a great friend, who accepts you without a question and loves you and did till the end and that is exactly what Dear Ben was for us- a quite true friend who could be trusted anytime and all the time…A true friend indeed, yesterday, today and tomorrow-Walking besides us always shared our lives for many years and we will always hold his memory as a keepsake in our hearts.
As we look back at the yester years that we shared with you we remember with gratitude; we remember with a saddened yet happy hearts for all the righteousness you stood for at the time of all the trials and tribulations we went through together in our lives.
We will always look back on our times with you and we will always think of you with love, friendship, courage, and admiration!
And today as we sit in the silence, we feel you still are, always nearby.
As we sit here, we miss you- but not with a burdened heart and a bowed head….
We miss you for the laughter we shared, we miss you for friendships forged, we miss you in the defiant moments when you stood your ground-resolute in your faith and purpose….and we miss you, each of us in our own personal ways, for all the special intangible ways that you touched our hearts- ways that cannot be described or defined by words.
You have taken your last step on your journey home and although you are gone…you will never be forgotten.
In the days to come you will walk besides us in the sunshine and the rain, we will speak your name often… and we will close our eyes and smile…. Because you LIVED:
WE WILL BE FRIENDS FOREVER-YOUR FINAL WORDS TO ME ON MARCH 1, 2021 IN ALABAMA, USA.
“We wrote your name in the sand,
but the waves washed it away.
We wrote your name in the sky,
but the wind blew it away.
So we wrote your name in our hearts
and that’s where it will stay, always.”

TRIBUTE TO A RARE BREED
Kpakpando, you have departed to where you truly belong. A mortal who has gained immortality in Christ Jesus. Every step of yours was measured in the sacred scriptures of the Holy God. In the very eyes of even mortal beings we dare say “Thou art weighed in the balances and found not wanting”- God is the Ultimate Judge. Such an inspiring personality you were, leaving your footprint in the heart of men and every circle that encountered you.
Kpakpando, a star whose light never dim all through the course of his journey. You remained a very precious soul that kept leaving very impressive mark and standard wherever you treaded. In the words of Queen Elizabeth, you have left a “huge void” behind and our sincere prayer is that the Almighty God shall raise men like you to fill this huge void.
We will keep appreciating God for allowing this shining “Kpakpando” to have traversed this earthly path and more especially the privilege of knowing you. Of a truth you are a soul not lost but won to the realms of glory. You were on mission of a Kind-Mission accomplished.
